    When: Monday, November 9, 6-8:30pm

Where: The Topfer at Zach Theater

    202 S Lamar Blvd

    Austin, TX 78704

  • Join Early Era Collective for a special evening celebrating nine years of boundary-pushing dance in Austin and supporting the company’s future! Whether you’re new to Early Era or are a longtime supporter – learn more about what we do, our why, and meet some of the talented artists who make this company what it is today.

Hosted by Early Era Board Members Jen Cregar and Andre Bradford, this evening of giving offers cocktails, mocktails, and light bites, pop-up performances, statements from company artists, and a sneak peek of our upcoming dance film “Brute.”

Building from a history of internationally acclaimed, award-winning dance films, Early Era’s “Brute” is our first dance film production since 2021. This collaborative anti-violence piece explores Danse Apache – a dramatic, early 20th century Parisian café duet – and evolves its storyline through contemporary movement, combat, original music, and breathtaking cinematography. Its physical choreography – blending campiness and humor with aggression, resistance and intimacy – illustrates the cycle of power and control in relationships, its impact, and how our characters break free from it.

This is at the heart of Early Era Collective: using thought-provoking dance and storytelling to connect across divides, unite beauty with meaning, and create change in the way that only art can. Join us at “The Next Era” and help support this innovative project!

Come for dance, conversation, and joyful community. Stay for cocktails, mocktails, light bites, and the chance to be part of what Early Era is building.

Free street parking available on Riverside, Toomey Road, and in Parks & Recreation lot. Please note that Zach Theater lot is $5/hour.

See the kind of work Early Era creates.
